We spent 3 nights at Holly Cottage in the Blue Room and really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely - spacious, beautifully decorated, quiet and peaceful. We appreciated having a room large enough to have our bags out and still have plenty of space to move about the room. There was excellent drawer and cupboard space and the wi-Fi... More

Stayed with my mum in the twin room in Feb 2012. Rooms are lovely, the home made cakes and buscuits are gorgeous and the breakfasts are ammmmmazing and huge! We had to ask for smaller portions the second morning as we didnt want to waste any! The local pub is also really nice for evening meals only just across the... More

Despite the weather spoiling our trip the same could not be said of the accommodation. A very tiny B & B we stayed in the green room, which was very clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable and shower sufficient for our needs. Breakfasts were superb and freshly cooked. Location was excellent for those touring the Peak District, being very handy... More

Many thanks for your review - it is very much appreciated. I am sorry that the weather was not kinder to you - April appears to have been a washout everywhere, I am pleased that we lived up to your expectations. More

We spent a few days here on route to see AFC Wimbledon play Accrington Stanley and it was a great choice. Situated on the Chatsworth Estate Pilsley is a small village off the road between Bakewell and Baslow. We stayed in the Blue room with a view overlooking the gardens of the village. The bathroom was huge, the bed very... More

We recently enjoyed a minibreak in the beautiful Peak District of Derbyshire. Unfortunately the first day was marred by the worst snow in the region for 30 years. It was so bad that we were not able to make it to Pilsley where we had our first 2 nights booked. Sarah and Mark were wonderfully understanding and despite our understandably... More

Thank you so much for your positive review, we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us, despite the snow ! Let's hope that we have seen the back of it until the winter as we look forward to the summer months when Chatsworth and the Peak District really are at their best. Once again, many thanks More

We stayed at Holly Cottage for one night (3rd April2012). On arrival we were greeted, by Sarah with a very efficient and courteous service. The room was well laid out, clean and has one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in! The cookies and cake were delicious. The breakfast lives up to its reviews and does keep... More

Fantastic hosts ,nothing too much trouble, a cooked breakfast that makes the most of the local produce. More than sets you up for the day. We will be going back when we get chance. The Devonshire Arms Pub is less than a minutes walk and the Chatsworth Gold brewed by Peak Ales is well worth a pint, or two. More

We stayed here for one night with family and had a great night. The B&B is in a lovely little village with a great pub and within walking distance of Chatsworth house and some beautiful walks. The B&B is fantastic with all the little added extras that make your stay all the better like home made cookies in your room... More
