We attended a lunch to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary. The party of 14 was allocated one of the smaller private dining rooms accessible from the main reception which made this a very private occasion. The open fire had been lit in advance to warm the room and this just added to the atmosphere. The table settings were individually allocated... More

We booked in for a two night stay at Hassop, a Thurs and Friday. The first night was fine with very nice food and very good service at dinner. However, on the Friday night we were told that we could not eat in the dining room as they had a large party in for some kind of do and there... More

Stayed here for my 50th Birthday what a wonderful place, we stayed in room 30 which had 2 double beds and a further room with 2 single beds and what I can only say as one of the most AMAZING bathrooms .slipper bath, huge walk in shower, A view over the countryside from the bath, and a tv in there... Spent a night (mid-week) in the standard double room on a dinner bed and breakfast rate. The hotel is beautiful and i would describe the room as 'shabby chic'. Not the best room we have ever stayed in but so charming you forgive any little oddities. The staff were all lovely and our whole stay was relaxing and enjoyable. The... More

Its been almost a year since we visited Hassop, but are so pleased to revisit it we are there again this month. A truly beautiful location. Great surroundings. A very welcoming family with noting to much trouble. I bit of the traditional way of doing things. So lacking in many other establishments. I can strongly recommend it! More

I do have to mention the arrival of the sweet trolley first; as that was part of the exquisite delight of a time and quality lost in most places. Dinner was superb, the attention to detail and the quality of the meal would I feel leave many chains wanting to know Hassop's Secrets. Bring back the sweet Trolley. Our room overlooking... More

We have just stayed at the hotel for the third time. It is just lovely. The staff are so friendly, attentive and efficient. The food is excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. This is a very old building so you have to expect creaking floors and the odd window that doesn't open but for me that just adds to... More

I must admit my stay was a few years ago now but felt I must write a review of my stay as I was so pleased with my all to brief visit. The Hall is a wonderful old house, just as country house hotels should be, tastefully decorated (unlilke those owned by chains) and although our room was rather old... More

We came to Hassop Hall just by chance while on a short holiday in the area. We had been rather disappointed with the general standard of restaurants we had found in Derbyshire This was totally different. We were warmly welcomed and given the last table for lunch. The surroundings are beautiful. You want to keep all the antique furniture, the... More

If in the Peak District a place you must visit for a an unforgetable meal, Our party recently booked a table for 4 to celebrate 2 birthdays. Although the weather was terrible the moment you walk through the door and were greeted by a member of staff you realised this was going to be different. The service was excellent, attentive... More
