Stayed two nights here. Warm and friendly and well placed for discovering the Peak District. Only minutes form Bakewell. The fresh milk in delightful jugs a real bonus! Wonderful pottery too ! All in all a great stay.

........awaits you if you decide to stay at this B&B. Situated in the popular Derbyshire Market town of Bakewell it is everything a good B& B should be; great hosts; comfortable accommodation; excellent breakfast; centrally situated; we are pleased to have found this gem if only for a short stay. Though the weather was bleak and snowy, the warmth of... More

A five minute walk from the centre of town tucked down a side street - it's convenient but not noisy. The hosts were welcoming, and the rooms comfortable. Another guest said their room was a bit chilly, but we had no problems with our. The bed was comfy, the bathroom spacious and had a bath in it, and there was... More

We stayed over New Years, and had a lovely stary. The owners were very welcoming and attentive. Lovely house, well funished, well kept, and good size room. And such a short walk to town made it a fantastic place to stay to explore the area. Amazing value for money, would definately recommend.

A good size room and bathroom (with bath). I don't think every room has a bath, so check that if it's important to you (and after a long day's walking a bath is a bonus). It's just a short walk to the town centre. Intrigued by the ceramics in the bathroom and elsewhere I discovered Madeleine is an artist and... More

We stayed there for two nights recently as a base for meeting family at Chatsworth House. Madeline and Louis were great hosts. Room very welcoming including full bookcase. Biscuit barrel and fresh milk were great touches. Bed a bit creaky. A laid back atmosphere. Fascinating home made ceramics. Brilliant breakfast to set you up for the day. Bakewell town centre... We stayed for one night at Terra Firma before setting out on our planned walk of the Monsal Trail. What a pleasant experience it was too. Very friendly owners and the breakfast set us up perfectly for the long walk ahead of us. Thank you Madeleine - we'll be back!
