Situated in a perfect location in the pretty town of Bakewell our bedroom was more luxurious than might have been expected from the price. We stayed in the twin which consisted of two double beds in a beautifully designed room and a spacious bathroom. Well worth staying at. More

We arrived late on a Friday night, and it was no trouble for Marie and John to accomadate us. It was a lovely done room and ensuite, clean, tidy and fresh. So welcoming and marie and john couldn't have done more. Breakfast was very very nice and more than enough. Only a short walk to town centre and parking on... More

I would thoroughly recommend this B&B. It is in a wonderful location, just a short walk from the centre of town. We had a really friendly welcome and our rooms were spotlessly clean. I stayed with 3 friends and this accommodation was perfect for us, as we stayed in 2 large and comfortable twin rooms. Another advantage is the car... More

A friendly welcome and a comfortable room. We were across the road at Easthorpe which was really quiet and peaceful. A good sized room with a shower en suite and everything else you could require. It was a short walk into the market town of Bakewell with its market and attractions. It was a good centre for exploring the local... More

We stayed for just one night and would recommend it. The house and room are very clean- our room was ready upon arrival at around 12.00 and was set up for the three of us. Melbourne House is centrally located, just a couple of minutes walk into Bakewell. The breakfast was nice- well cooked eggs, but no black pudding, unfortunately.... More

Just back from a walking weekend and we stayed at this lovely place. It is ideally situated 5 minuted from the centre of the town with lots of parking space and, despite being on the main road, it was very quiet. The room was superb and spotless, big comfy bed, lovely en-suite with a cracking shower, plenty of space and... More

Melbourne House is a little gem of a B&B in Bakewell. Despite being in an old, listed building, the interior is very modern and comfortable. Great location, walking distance to everywhere. Would recommend. More
