Having stayed at the Bishopstrow previously we were very concerned about the recent reviews we had read on Trip Advisor. We are however delighted to report that we have just had 2 wonderful, relaxing days at the Hotel to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. This hotel SHOULD be great - it's a lovely place in beautiful grounds, with SOME good staff. Although he rooms in the main house are nice, they're way overprices. "Courtyard" rooms, which are more sensibly priced if you're lucky are no better than a Holiday Inn, with thin walls, creaky floorboards and very slow internet connection when it's actually working.... more

Our stay at Bishopstrow house was disappointing – we paid nearly £600 to stay for the Valentine’s weekend and would definitely say that it wasn’t worth the money. When we arrived we were greeted immediately at the front door. Staff showed us all facilities, took our bags up to our room, and responded politely and promptly to any request. Sadly what should be a beautiful, luxury and tranquil hotel as described on the website and in their glossy brochure was nothing near during our stay this weekend.
