We had stayed here before. It is a great location for driving into Stratford, Warwick, The Cotswolds, or most anywhere in Central England. The food was as good as last time, the bar was even better, far cleaner and better kept, but the rooms were a disappointment. We were told they are being redone this year, but the issue was... More

Arrived for a meal this evening at 5pm with my family that my wife had booked earlier this week for my Birthday. On arrival at the bar we we told to take the seat in the window which had not been cleaned from earlier and required me to self clean using a napkin from the bar. We sat down with... More

We had a lovely day in Stratford which included a play at the RSC. We arrived at The Blue Boar about 6.00 pm and were given the keys to our room. The room was extremely small but looked clean UNTIL we pushed back the sliding door to reveal a minute, dirty ensuite. Someone in a previous review described their ensuite... More

We had booked a complimentary night as a gift from our Bank… well I suppose it saves them having to pay interest!!. When we arrived it had snowed all over the country for about 24 hours previously and thus the snow was down and thick and it was bitterly cold out. We got there at 4.50 pm and checked in... More

Just returned from an overnight stay. Lets do the good points first. Very welcoming, staff come over very pleasant. The Inn inside is gorgeous. The log fires very welcoming, the old brickwork & tile floor in the bar area is very cosy & the restaurant decor is beautiful. Breakfast in the morning is lovely, very big if you are a... More

Started well, the waitress was very friendly and helpful and the pub is lovely. It was downhill from there, the toast with the pate had finger marks on it where the crusts were removed! We followed with very tough roast beef and vegetables which were either frozen or tinned. An attempt was made to make the dish look restaurant standard... More

Came in here after finding our original destination to be rubbish! Here we were welcomed by a lovey smile from the male and female on the bar, we were kindly offered a table and quickly ordered food and drink. The fish and chips were large portions and well worth the money. Will visit again!

We had a two night stay at a bargain price with booking .com, we had a really nice peaceful stay in a lovely 16th century country inn. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and we were shown straight to our room which was a decent size for a couple of nights stay, clean and a comfy bed the... More

This is my first review but like some previous reviewers I think I may have stayed in a different place!Agree the staff were lovely, the atmosphere also, with the quaint feeling and log fires. The room was adequate and bed very clean & comfy. The food let them down. We always like to treat ourselves to a nice restaurant meal... More

I have stayed in may B&Bs and hotels, but have never come across anywhere where the rooms are so dirty... See the pictures I have uploaded. We checked in at around 10pm. Despite being sent a confirmation email just the week before, they didn't have our booking upon arrival but they sorted out a room for us. We changed rooms... More
