Although the hotel was very quiet it was nice to come in to a smile by staff at 9o'clock in evening. Breakfast was nothing to boast about. Although the the hotel was clean it could do with afew improvements ie. Heating system, deco. Overall good stay as the staff were really pleasant and helpful. More

Because of the lack of Hotels in Portadown I thought of staying here through necessity more than anything else. When i arrived though it felt such a creepy, cold, run down hotel and i have to be honest and say I thought of the Bates Motel in the film Physco! I ran away without staying any longer other than to... More

I'm bemused at MissGO review on this hotel. When i read this i see someone trying to promote a sinking ship. If this is true why is this reviewer trying to promote Portadown and Craigavon. Also trying to promote the conference rooms ect. I see this as some one connected to this hotel trying to get someone through the door.... More

This was my first visit to this hotel, on entering I found it spacious and the staff very friendly. They adhere to your every need, they truely cannot do enough for you. The Hotel itself is situated in a quiet area so is perfect for that weekend break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. However if you... More

I am planning my wedding reception in this hotel in september, and I have to say that the service that I am recieving is second to none. Friendly , helpful staff that cannot do enough to ensure that my wedding will be just the way that I want it. Cannot praise this hotel enough. More

Having arrived late & tired from a long day travelling we were made welcome by Bridget at the reception. Later that evening & after the dining room was closed she willingly offered Sandwiches & chips for supper. This was most welcome & the service was above & beyond the call of duty. The rest of the hotel was fine. More

Stayed here for two nights with a wedding party on a friday and saturday night. The hotel is pretty faded and in need of a total refurb, bedrooms and public areas. The rooms are ok but could probably be cleaner and the beds are tiny. Breakfast also average great if you like everything deep fried. Having said this the whole team of... More

After reading other reviews, I expected the worst. Yes the decor is terrible, and yes the hotel looks like something timewarped in from the 1960's, but it has it's good points. Lounge is dingy and smelly, and corridoors are dark and musty. Rooms are small, badly furnished, but at least they are clean. There is a trouser press, and tea/coffee... More

We were hard up for a reasonably priced hotel that had rooms for all five of us on short notice, so we booked the Carngrove despite some of the shaky reviews. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our apprehensions were completely unwarranted. The hotel was clean and nicely maintained. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and we had... More
