Have just returned from a weekend staying at Cunningburn Cottages. Together with some friends we rented out two of the cottages. Even though we live in Belfast, it was like another world. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The cottages are warm and cosy with everything you could possibly need for a weekend away. We had a great day out... More

Outstanding self-catering option in the Newtownards/Strangford Lough area, within easy reach of many places of interest. Just a short walk to the shore of Strangford Lough and just a short drive to Mountstewart, Scrabo Tower, Greyabbey, Portaferry. We have stayed here often as a family and always enjoyed it very much. Cottages are cosy and clean and the proprietors are... More

The location could be a little isolated for some but for us was ideal. The cottage was well equipped, warm, clean and well maintained and the bed was so comfortable. No trouble going to sleep. Do take time to visit Mount Stewart house and gardens.

If the location suits, it's perfect for a young family. They have all the amenities you need if you can live without a dishwasher and a large screen TV. The proprietors are very pleasant and helpful. The dog, Tess, is a sweet sheepdog who loves children and will wait outside the door for them to come and play with her.... More

This self catering cottage is a real gem. Situated a short walk from the edge of Strangford Lough with its breath taking views, this is a very cosy cottage that caters for all your needs. A well stocked kitchen and open planned living area with comfy arm chairs and a large sofa. Being a rather cold time of year there... More

This delightful 2 bed self-catering accommodation is just a few miles South of Newtownards and a further half a mile off the coastal Portaferry road in idyllic countryside. Its one in a row of 5 joined up cottages (previously a farm building) and with its heavily wooden interior features feels really homely. There are so many beauty spots to visit... More

Our traveling party of four stayed in a two-bedroom cottage here in January 2008 for a week. The location is great: within a few minutes of the town of Newtownards and in commuting distance to Belfast, while still being in a calm rural setting on the Ards peninsula. Our cottage far surpassed our expectations, with a fully supplied kitchen, modern... More

The cottages have been converted from a 16th century barn and retain many original features but with all the comforts you would want. Located at the end of a tree lined avenue it is the perfect place to escape in quiet privacy. Lots of nice walks nearby and the owners - who have farmed here for generations - are full... More
