We stayed in the self-catering cottage in Sept. 2011 and recommend it highly. The cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed. Morning coffee and evening tea on the couch or loveseat looking out at the hillsides, Belfast Loch, Carrickfergus, and Belfast across the bay was a great beginning and ending to each day. We stayed in one hotel and 4 B&B's during our short tour of Northern Ireland. All were excellent, including Hillcrest. Great location just away from the coast,a couple of miles from Carrickfergus. My husband and I stayed in this bed and breakfast our first night of our two week trip in Ireland. It turned out to be one of our favorite spots and we will definitely return. It is just outside of Carrickfergus, off the main Antrim Coastal road. Set on a beautiful farm (with lovely horses and a very friendly dog).... More
