Stayed for 1 night in The Spilman Hotel and was amazed by the quality of the rooms in the main building. Although I was in room 2 at the front of the building and on the road, I was surprised by how little noise there was and that the hotel was great for those who want a quiet and comfortable... More

Stayed here while in the area working, had the last available room and got an executive suite! Checked in by a very friendly and polite receptionist and shown to my room. Room was enormous, large living area with a 32inch flat screen tv, full kitchen, and a spacious bedroom and bathroom. Didnt risk the extremely narrow car park entrance and... More

Big rooms and very clean and had a nice big bath tub. I wish we had tubs this long in Canada!! Breakfast was also very tasty and plentiful. My only comment was the executive room says it has a kingsize bed which it was not, although it was a queen size. Perhaps sizing is different in the UK. I would... More

We stayed once again at the Spilman having done so every time we've visited my son in Uni. This was our 5th or 6th stay. The room we requested was made available, and the breakfast was very tasty made with local produce. Very reasonable too!

Stayed in an executive room for two nights and was really impressed with the room. The room was large and spacious and nicely furnished, bathroom had recently been redone and was clean and modern with a large power shower. Right in the centre of Carmarthen town but we didn't hear any noise from traffic or people. Breakfast was good with... More

We weren't daring enough to attempt the very narrow entrance to the car park in our rather large car - but cann't complain as we knew the entrance was small (but not THAT tight!) and the staff gave very detailed instructions on how best to effect an entrance (though judging by the paint on the wall it didn't work for... I stayed at this hotel on the 12/13th April, check in was nice and friendly and our room was stunning, we were allocated room #2 which is at the front of the hotel, the room was very large and well furnished and if I had a complaint it would be that you could hear some road noise, other than that... Traveling to Carmarthen by public transportation, I wanted someplace centrally located and comfortable. The Spilman was an easy walk from the rail station, easy walk to the bus station, and King Street right out the back door. The room was spacious, attractive and quiet. The bath was actually long enough to settle in for a good soak. The staff was... More
