There is always a warm welcome at the Cottage Inn from the new owners. This goes for the staff as well. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, a combination we needed in this area. For the summer there is an excellent beer garden where food is served.

We booked into the rooms and were welcomed by the new owners of the premises, we where shown to the very clean and comfortable rooms. Very impressed with the food. 10z serlion steak (with all the trimmings) and house special pork loin sweet and sour! Topped off with a chocolate and cream cake and lemon pavalova. Would reccomend anyone who... More

I visited for a meal on the strength of reports of new owners, but disappointingly the food was mediocre at best and the beer at the time poor. The atmosphere is strange and not entirely comfortable for "outsiders" wanting a quiet meal, but it may suite many people. I may call again at some point in the future to see... More

Prior to Autumn 2011 the Cottage Inn was a place to avoid. We suffered the surly lack of interest and the grey dishwater soup once too often. Being local we knew where not to go. We were delighted when it changed hands and discovered the new friendly, civil, generous, warm owners had taken over. We haven't stayed there (being local)... More

We only had Sunday lunch here yesterday but please avoid the place until the new owners have appointed a chef that can cook. It's sad to have to write a negative report on such a public forum but this is how food was prepared in Wales in the '50s. Glutinous soup; unidentifiable grey meat which was suppose to be beef... We recently stayed for a long weekend whilst visiting family in the area. We were hesitiant to stay here based on recent reviews, but were informed that the place is under new mangement since October 2011 and has been transformed! We received a very warm welcome upon arrival from staff who couldn't have been more helpful (B&B reception was at... More

On arrival to the cottage inn we were greeted by no one, tried looking for the entrance, no reception so waited by the bar for 5 mins before a lovely girl welcomed us, showed us to our room and said dinner is served between 6.30 and 8.30pm. Room was fairly clean, apart from cushion on the bed which smelt like... More

My wife and I visited the Cottage Inn during January 2011, staying in room 2. We were well greeted at the bar and shown to our room accordingly. A good start. Unfortunately it did go down hill after that. We decided to have an early night, although it didn't matter as the room is directly above the bar and there... More

We were looking for Sunday Lunch in Llandeilo and called at the Cawdor Hotel in the town but they were fully booked. The receptionist recommended the Cottage Inn and very kindly phoned and booked for us (a party of 6). We arrrived at the Cottage and the welcome we received and the quality of the lunch impressed us all. We... More

We stayed at The Cottage Inn for 1 night. Our welcome was fantastic. The staff are all friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a bar and restaurant area, which is traditional and inviting. The food was to an excellent standard, with a wide choice of menu and... More
