The staff was courteous, the food was absolutely incredible (that's what happens when a master chef owns the place!), and the rooms were beautiful. I'm not sure what else to say, except it may have been the best B&B I've ever encountered.

Ahhh! That's likely to be your reaction upon entering the Ballard Inn lobby. Quietly upscale and catering to those in love, the property is immaculate and comfortable. We've stayed in several rooms; each has it's own charm. This has become my birthday weekend destination for a few years now. Simply lovely.

we tend to stay here about once a year or so. We like to stay in different rooms. this time it was the mountain room. Large, we a fire place and small balcony. Staff was very friendly, good wines and snacks in the afternoon and very nice breakfast.

This is a very old Inn that has nicely decorated rooms, but nothing to brag about. The wine and cheese at night was very nice. The towels are cheap and very rough as is the toilet paper. Great meal and a romantic night in the Santa Ynez valley. A great location nestled in a quiet neighborhood in walking distance from several great wineries. We would definitely stay at the Ballard Inn again.
