Having spent two nights here recently I can only back up what the majority have reviewers have already stated. We received a lovely welcome and throughout our stay super service from both Ian and Alan. The hotel sits in a lovely area and you can really enjoy the beauty of the garden and wider countryside from our room and over... More

Well, I have never left a second review, but we have been here a number of times now, and it just gets better. Ian and Allan are superb hosts, and everything on our visit was fantastic. A warm, cosy room, perfect shower and bedding and a welcome where nothing is too much trouble. This hotel is worth every penny, and... More

My husband and I spent 2 nights last week at this little gem! We were made very welcome by Ian and Alan. The hotel is in an area of outstanding natural beauty which we enjoyed exploring. Our room (No 4) looked over the lovely garden and surrounding countryside. The hotel was beautifully furnished. Our room was very well appointed. The... More

This is an excellent country hotel in a beautiful location, the rooms are very comfortable and breakfast is outstanding. We have stayed in many hotels in this area over the years and this is definitely one of the best. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and beautifully furnished.

The Snowdon National Park provides a beautiful backcloth, the local village is pretty, perhaps too many holiday homes and the local pub looks inviting (and is, piped music aside). But the Tir-y -Coed is something different - we thought it might be, when we saw the garden, in which a lingering walk would have provided a lovely diversion had spring... More

We have just had a lovely night here. The hosts are very welcoming and keen to give a good service. Our room was comfortable and clean. The shower was warm rather than hot but that is the only slight negative. We loved the food which was very nicely prepared and the breakfast was really gorgeous. I would have no problem... More

We based our Snowdonia holiday at Tir y Coed because the tripadvisor reviews were so glowing and also for the hotel's location in the picturesque village of Rowen with the unspolied northern Carneddau mountains on the doorstep. The two owners were exceptionally welcoming. They went to great lengths to treat us as individuals. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.... More

Many thanks Ian @ Alan for your warm welcome & super lunch at Tir y Coed! A great way to spend a Sunday & to celebrate a 65th birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in the unique ambience of your lovely Country House.

It was through trip advisor that we booked our stay and the reviews do not lie. I booked 2 nights over valentines and I'm proud to say I made a great choice (I've been in the good books ever since because of it!!). The guys are so welcoming with a real relaxed flair which feels completely genuine. The food is... More
