Jungle Lore Birding Lodge and Kafal Lodge in Pangot are both excellent places for birding. These
are also ideal for getting away from the din of more ordinary hill stations and spending a quiet
relaxed time bonding with the hills. Kafal Lodge looks out over a forested valley with the
distant Shivaliks and the hills of Corbett in the backdrop. Birding is mostly excellent, more so
for the amateur ornithologist, ans just spending time at the verandah and the bird-feeds around
the camp will delight you. Very kind and helpful staff, excellent food (non-veg is served at
night) - both Indian and Continental - and comfortable, clean rooms with prompt and courteous
service and a general feeling of a nice, comfy homestay. Pangot is a like a little village tucked
away in the forest and a haven for nature-lovers. Hopefully, there will not be an overkill in
terms of development activities though one or two...
