The hotel is under new ownership since August/September last year. We were the only guests for two days and the new owners, a Belgian couple, treated us very well. The wife did all the cooking for our half-pension and her meals, though not regional cuisine, were excellent. Only minor quibbles are that the shower needs to be hand held.

We absolutely adored this charming place.
Firstly, Casteil the hamlet in which it's located is lovely and peaceful. You can walk upto the Abbaye of St Martin or down to the larger village of Vernet le Bains.
The hosts Fabienne and Bernard could not have done more to make us feel welcome.

This is a beautiful small hotel in an incredible setting in the mountains. Rooms are spare but tasteful, and all decor is high quality. The demipensione dinner was very tasty. The staff are all very kind and helpful.
