Yes, this hotel is from the 1960s and in need of some renovation, but the room was comfortable, the service was good and the breakfast was OK. Overall, I thought it was reasonable value for money. (BTW, US President Johnson stayed in the presidential suite twice in the 1960s).

Rex Hotel is a bit overpriced for what you get, the rooms are very outdated, feels like being in an old hospital. The rooms were cllean, the bathroom was very tired and in need of a good dose of domestos! Overall it was just a convenient bed with breakfast included.

Friendly staff, clean room with cooked breakfast, good rate compared to other nearby accomodation. The hotel is old and currently undergoing some renovation, no noise at night though. Perfectly adequate for an overnight stop in Canberra.
