We stayed here and were impressed with the room and the price! We think we had one of the recently renovated rooms. Great location we were 5-10 minutes from everything. More

Refurbishments now completed. Units clean with nice fresh new cabinets. The room size was good with a lounge and a table with two chairs. Large TV and an Air con that worked well the was no noise and I slept well. It is abut 7km's from the city but a couple of kilometres down the road is the Watson shopping... More

My family stayed at Red Cedars for one night in a non-smoking family room. As soon as I opened the door the stench of stale cigarettes hit me - it was unbearable. Fortunately, our total time spent in the room amounted to 8 hrs as we were at a wedding until the early hours of the morning. My complaint to... More

I arrived 4ish and the carpark was looking dodgy with workman having drinks at the bbq. Reception was ok. Surprisingly, the room was good. It's been renovated, decent size tv and the bed was comfortable enough. Air con worked well. Need to drive back in to Canberra to get takeout dinner etc but it's convenient for drive out towards Sydney.... More

New management obviously lack experience. Woken at 7am as builders started renovation work on room next door. They also shut down power at 9am as the builders needed the electricity down. I was outraged they took my money for a room knowing this work was going to happen. More

This motel looks quite okay from the outside, the staff are friendly. We arrived on an evening when it was going to be minus 5 degrees. After reading the well written operating instructions we attempted to get the air conditioner in our room to work for some 60 minutes, however without any success. Went across to the office and told... More

As a regular business visitor to the ACT I would highly recommend the Red Cedars. It is an older style Motel very reasonably priced for Canberra. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the Motel is situated close to pretty much everything. An upgrade to Pay TV would be appreciated More

My partner and I used lastminute.com.au and stayed 3 nights at this motel in March 2010. We loved the room, which was clean and very nice to come back to after a day's sight-seeing. The furniture seemed new and comfortable. All the staff were so friendly and helpful; nothing seemed too much trouble for them when we needed advice or... More

I was travelling to Canberra at the last minute and needed accomodation. Canberra was virtually booked out. The woman at reception (Sharon) arranged a room for me and could've charged me a fortune, knowing I was desperate. Instead she gave me a great rate and, because I was turning up late, left the key for me. They've obviously renovated recently,... More

I went to Red Ceders on a school trip. It had bunk beds and doors that led in to other peoples rooms. The food was below average, and many people ended up getting terribly sick. It was OK though, But only if you want basic accomidation.. More
