This hotel was a real gem of a find.
We went as a family with 3 little children.
The location was in the heart of Ascona, so walking distance was not an issue. Although it is up a steep hill for about 100m. The hotel provides a free taxi if you let them know when you are arriving, and they pick you up at the bottom of the hill. (I found this out at the top).
The best part was the swimming pool, which has a panoramic view over the surrounding countryside. The rooms were immaculate, and very enjoyable to stay in.
Service was ok, but we arrived after dinner, so it was understandable if it was a little sparse. The view from the terrace was exquisite, overlooking the main town, and opposite hills.
There was a large secluded outdoor play area for the children, which was lovely.
I'd go there again if I had the chance, and next time, use the taxi.
