I had the pork shoulder and my wife had the schnitzel with fries. The soup was one of the best soups on our trip. It was all very good. I'm glad I married a Hartman. We didn't stay in the hotel, but we would have just to eat more meals there. Next time!
To truly experience the culture and hospitality of this region of Germany, getting off the beaten track and finding an Inn such as this with superior restaurant and the most fantastic beer on the planet is not to be missed... actually there is an informal network of inns like this worth exploring wherever you go...

The hotel is located in Wurgau, a little town just outside of Bamberg. GREAT food and beer, with the beer made on site at the brewery. Service was excellent. The hotel is a great bargain - would definitely go back if I'm in the area.
