Official Description (provided by the hotel):: Ours is a homestay situated in Shivanasamudram, famous for the second largest waterfalls in India, namely Gaganchukki and Bharrachukki, 120 kms from Bangalore an 60 kms from Mysore. The property is located in a shrub jungle that skirts the waterfalls, and are known as the Cauvery Wildlife Reserve / Sanctuary. The best season for the waterfalls is June/July to November/December. Although there is water in the Bharrachukki all year round and some find it a better attraction to enjoy themselves in this fall during the off season. Bird watching is a favorite pastime for several foreign guests and some Indian guests. The surrounding terrain is suitable for trekking in this virgin country. ... more less

“Warmest hosts, best place”

I have just visited GSV and will always have warmest thoughts of this place forever etched in my heart. When people visit they should study what they are in for before booking. I can personally claim that the overall experience far surpassed all my previous expectations.
