We visited with 5 adults and 2 dogs for Saturday night dinner. We were sat in a lounge which was excellent. The service was amazing as was the food. When we go back to St. Andrews or crail we will go back. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

We didn't stay in this hotel as we were self-catering locally. The Barns is a very cosy bar and attractive restaurant in a small Fife village, very welcoming and serves pretty good food from a large selection. Prices were average, staff always cheery and available. I would recommend a wee drive out to Kingsbarns if you are in Elie ,... More

The East Neuk of Fife s a wonderful part of the country, the beaches are fantastic and everything is clean and well maintained. I was staying just outside Kingsbarns during the Easter holidays and ventured into The Barns on more than one occasion, a very well run bar with friendly staff and clientele, well worth a visit, you will not... We had Sunday lunch at the weekend. The food is delicious and well presented. The service is friendly and efficient. It is a really lovely place. We had coffee after lunch infront of the real fire. What a lovely experience at very competitive prices

We dined on a Saturday evening and on arrival sat in the very pleasant candlelit lounge with a real coal fire for pre-dinner drink. Our order was taken while we relaxed in the lounge, before moving into the dining room. Pleasantly furnished and decorated, this room looks out over a courtyard, but not visible to us in the dark! Our... More

The bar staff were very helpful in making us welcome. The restaurant was busy but we had a drink in the lounge in front of a roaring fire first. Service was good, helpings were large, and we all enjoyed it.

We have only ever stopped for a drink and a lunch here after walking our dog at the beach. The dog is always made welcome and the staff bring out water for him without even being asked. They also always offer a biscuit for the dog. I wish I got treated as well! Just kidding, the service from the staff... More

We were fortunate enough to get a tee time at the Old Course, so, went looking for a place to stay. Read about the Barns, booked five nights, and arrived in mid-July. Couldn't have made a better decision. Comfortable, friendly, no better hosts than Jackie and Garry, who were always close by to help with "guide" information. And, when we... More

Popped in at the Barn at Kingsbarns after a walk from St Andrew's along the coastal path. We emailed the landlady last week to ensure that our spaniel would be allowed in, in case the weather was bad. We were greeted with great warmth. We were served pints while our dog was patted and given treats. A wonderful afternoon, in... More
