We have just spent a week in the Silveralp in Val Thorens and were disgusted at the poor quality and maintainance. The first room we had was very dirty and the pull down bunk bed was too dangerous for our children to use (ages 9 and 11). The safety rail was loose and the was no other way of preventing... More

Actually, a very awful place. Besides, they will try tocheet you. So, the administration of hotel refused us to accept number. The reason is the penalty for cleaning the room. We, basically, have left number in a good condition, the dishes have been washed up, all things have been left in a good condition (as much as it is possible... More

If you do have the pleasure of staying in this beautiful resort,do not waste your time booking a room at this hotel. On arrival we were told we would have to wait till 5 o clock in the evening to get into our rooms, having to wait 3 hours. We were then told that we had to pay a 300 euro... More

We had a apartment which slept 5. Having stayed in one of Odalys other skiing destinations, this was a big let down for us. Not up to standard, blood stains on the bed covers, dirty floors, cookers and in need of a good overhaul. Wiring hanging out of walls and very over priced considering the poor decor and upkeep. Noisy... More

Not a bad location, but the experience was somewhat spoiled by the sullen, sulky attitude of the staff. The worst example was when they forgot to open the ski locker room one morning, leaving around fifty skiers waiting around for up to an hour at the start of the day. In our case that meant missing two lessons. Did the... More

Positive: This hotel is reasonably located, practically ski-in/out. Although it's in the lower village away from the shops and sports center, it is right next to the elevator up to a walkway over to the center of town. Negatives: Do NOT book through voyages-sncf. If you don’t book directly with the Silveralp, their receptionist will not help you (although they... More

Small and grubby apartment, extra for everything including 40 euros for the TV! Great skiing but not a comfy place to go back to after a hard day on the slopes. Expensive ski school,90 euros for 3 mornings and absolutely nothing to do for my 3 year old as she wouldnt have taken the man handling from the ski school instructors... More

Stayed for a week. Allot of bad points. Had to rent towels, towels, covers. 40 euro for a TV. 1 lift for 6 floors. Smelly, small ski storage Stuffy / over heated room. made for 5 but 4 people would be a big squeeze. 8am check out. un-maned reception area. Good points: bakery directly opposite main entrance. ski in /... More

These are comfortable apartments, which are not luxurious or very modern, but are a great place to stay for a ski or outdoors holiday. Two of us stayed in a 5 person apartment which gave us loads of space. However, I wouldn't try fitting more than three people into the 5 person apartment as it would get very crowded. There... More

The Silveralp apartments are typical French ski apartments; clean, small and functional. Ours slept 5 with 3 beds in a mezzanine level which had a low ceiling, and 2 in the lounge area downstairs. There was a narrow entrance hall off which was the separate toilet, bathroom with a small bath and then you went into a slightly larger lounge... More
