My partner and I stayed at Hotel Burrhus 2 nights in September while we "road-tripped" through the Cote du Rhone. Vaison-la-Romaine is a charming French village and the Hotel Burrhus is perfectly situated in the Ville Basse. You are within walking distance of everything and the hotel is right on a main square of the village. The rooms are very... More

My wife and I were surprised by this hotel . The owner is an art lover .The place is covered with contemporary art , nothing touristic , it looks like an boutique hotel from one the big cities . The price is great , and don't miss breakfast on the terrace , the view over the place is great .... More

We had allot of fun in vaison la romaine. It's a beautiful town to visit with very nice people. We stayed at a camping near the village but our last day we slept in hotel burrhus. It's a great hotel, The people who work at the reception are very friendly and helpful. They speak French and English. The hotel also... More

A great affordable and funky hotel in the center of Vaison la romaine - loved it. Many thanks to Enrico and Jean-Baptiste who went beyond our expectations to make sure that we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for anyone staying in the area. The morning breakfast is the best in all our trip in southern france. Would come back... More

The location is perfect, right in the centre where everything happens although the downside of this is that the noise can be intrusive. Great view of the old town from the balcony if you have a room at the front of the hotel. Staff were generally helpful. We had a family room which was, in effect, two bedrooms and a... More

Our room had a beautiful view of private closed terrace, room was clean, with huge windows that opened. The bath was big and very comfortable. We had a large armoire to put all our bike helmets, shoes, bags, bottles. The hotel has a locked garage for bikes. We were surprised at the number of bikes in garage but were able... More

We travelled with a group on a classic car touring holiday, and arrived at the hotel around midday after a long, hot morning's drive over D roads from Aix. Our hotel in Aix was a four-star boutique style, and for some of the group the Burrhus's 2-star boutique style came as a shock and they refused to stay here. Admittedly... More

Room on the first floor. Only two-star hotel with tons of space that included a little entryway. Clean rooms, good service, decent bed. No actual shower; just a tub with an extending nozzle/hose. Nice location. The occupant above of and next to us very quite loud, walking around, talking and banging things into the wee hours of the morning. More

Positives: Great Central Location. Many choices of restaurants within a short walking distance. Large, spacious rooms with views overlooking square are available- some with private balcony. Breakfast Buffet - Many choices - fresh and varied. A few Negatives: WiFi was sporatic and slow. I had trouble using Skype even in the Reception area. Although the rooms were decorated with contemporary... More

Just loved this quirky arty hotel: Positives - great helpful staff, comfy quiet aircon room with stylish minimalist decor, bountiful breakfast buffet style with loads of good fresh fruit (why is this so rare!?), reasonable price, excellent location in the centre of town, whole hotel stuffed with retro art including my favourite kinetic 60's works. (Minor) Negatives: Is up at... More
