I had stayed in a Campanile in the UK and knew they were basic but we were only stopping for one night and the location and price were right. Reception was fine, helpful even. Just happened upon this by chance on the drive up from Portugal. Right off the Motorway junction at Saintes. Campaniles are the same everywhere, but the staff here were very friendly, the food very acceptable, It was an oasis for a tired pair of travellers. The room was fully equipped, clean and cool.
