Usual Ibis facilities but staff completely unhelpful. We got the feeling they just don't care, there was a touch of "Faulty Towers" about the place. For example the hotel is 3km from the town centre, we asked 2 different staff members if there was a bus into town and they said categorically "no!". Actually there is a bus stop a...

the hotel is ideally placed for travellers with pets having to comply with the rules of the pet passport scheme for the UK with a number of veterinary practices in the town and a comfortable 24 hour trip to the channel. The restaurant next door has a varied menu which is not cheap but then eating out in France is...

The one disappointment was that there were no English channels on the TV - not even BBC World News. Apart from that and slight difficulty in locating the hotel everything was satisfactory - we found the hotel OK but it was difficult to locate the entrance. In general though all was fine.

The title says it all, my friend and I stayed one night at this hotel as we were traveling back to the Netherlands. The room looked like the previous guests had just left 10 minutes ago. When I lifted the sheets from the bed, i could see pubic hairs...truly disgusting. The room was old and the bathroom was dirty.

This was a perfectly adequate Ibis - thay all start to blend into one after a while. But comfortable with good staff.
I would take issue with the restaurant, which is a Meister Keitner Auberge, the top of the range in Ibis restaurants. All very well if one wishes to splash out, but more in keeping with a 4* hotel...

One of the extensive IBIS 2 star chain. This one is on the outskirts of town, next to a large shopping mall. There was some construction work underway on the restaurant, but it did not intrude and overall this was a better than average IBIS. The restaurant was excellent, specialising in Alsace-style food. Try one of their superb sauerkraut dishes....
