We have just spent a wonderful weekend in Calais, staying overnight at this delightful hotel. The owners, Sophie-Anne and Jean Michel are perfect hosts- from the warm greeting at the front door to our reluctant farewell they couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and we felt totally welcome in their beautiful home.... More

I absolutely loved my stay here - Sophie-Anne and Jean Michel could not have done more to help with advice/bookings for restaurants and taxis. The house has been decorated with such a feel for the history of the house and my room (venise) was lovely. Everyone encountered on this stay in Calais was so helpful and friendly as they really... We did a "booze cruise" but enjoy spending a little more time in Calais, having a meal out and browse round the shops. We have stayed in a couple of different place in Calais, which were fine, but fancied trying somthing different. We had 3 rooms, two "single" which were actually double but occupied by one adult each, and a... More

Myself and my two sons stayed overnight in this old lace makers house which was absolutely delightful. The hosts Jean-Michel (who speaks excellent English) and Anne-Sophie were very kind and friendly, always on hand to recommend restaurants and shops etc. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable! Jean-Michel even picked us up from the... More

I wonder if i went to a completely different hotel to the other travellers who have written reviews? The location was terrible, the room cold and uncomfortable, no shower and there was a terrible stale smell throughout the guesthouse. the hotel is incredibly over priced for what it is....and the professional photos are creative. They are not a true reflection... More

The whole facility is sumptuous and the Kenya Room in which we stayed is spacious & luxurious. The ensuite is spectacularly appointed. Your hosts Anne-Sophie & Jean Michel are lovely people, very helpful and present a wonderful breakfast including Jean Michel's artisan breads. Calais, a wonderful city to visit, is a reasonable walk from the B&B and there are plenty... More

We used TA to find this hotel for a one nighter before driving down France the next day. It is hidden in a back street just off the town centre but can be found OK. We were greeted by the lady owner who immediately made us feel very at home. Our room was small but throughtfully and tastefully done and... More

This was our second stay at Le Cercle de Malines. We stop here as it is so close to the Tunnel exit and we will have completed a three hour journey in UK. A short walk to the many bars and restaurants. There is no doubt it is a little quirky but this adds to the character. The stairs are... More

This is a small hotel just off the main street in Calais so is handy for bars and restaurants but is in a quiet spot. There is on street parking outsider the hotel. The hotel only has a few rooms and we were given the choice of rooms. Our room was very spcious and had a bathroom with freestanding roll... More
