Stayed here as last stop before ferry after a holiday in France. The hotel is ideally situated less than 5 minutes from ferry terminal. I had previously stayed here when it was the George V hotel and was a little disappointed to find that Mercure had taken it over as the was a substantial price rise. They have refurbished the... The room was not too smal but not large, exceptionally clean as was the bathroom. Very modern and nicely decorated. Private car park around the back which is very secure ( now charge 15 euros though). Breakfast was good too. Would recommend it plus la sole meunière restaurant in Calais.

This is a fine hotel but with some limitations. If you have mobility problems don't accept a room on the third floor; the lift only goes to the second! Also, avoid rooms facing Le Bearaux bar. They can be very noisy - especially at weekends. A positive is that the staff will allow you to use the microwave in the... More

This was second time we stayed here - we use as a stop after coming over from UK. Centrally located so ideal for having an evening meal in Calais. Rooms are very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was v nice. They seemed a bit short of staff the night we were there - receptionist doubling as bar maid! Still, only us... More

My coach party stayed two nights in June 2011 - one on the way down to Normandy and one on the way back. We were well looked after and the hotel accommodated us very well (29 passengers). Rooms were of a good standard as you would expect from an Accor chain hotel; the rooms we had were light and airy,... More

Stayed here with my girlfriend back in December when we got a fantastic deal with Eurotunnel and decided to stay a night. We didn't fancy staying around Coquelles so had a look in Calais and saw this. The hotel is fantastically located in the centre of town, parking is around the rear. You could tell that the hotel has recently... More

We stayed in this hotel for six nights over the Christmas period and found it extremely comfortable. The first room we were allocated had a double bed and was very small but well appointed, we were moved to a twin-bedded room at our request and this one, although still fairly small was much better. It was on the first floor... More
