This place needs a rehab. It shows its age and neglect. Reception is unmanned and you have to walk across to the restaurant to get a key. However, it is in a perfect spot to get to Mont-Ste-Michelle at a very reasonable price and has easy access to nice restaurants. Breakfast was OK, nothing special. There are nicer places to...

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVEN IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. Apologies for the capital letters but we feel that all travellers should be warned about what awaits them if they decide to stay here. Please read on for details.
Following a long and gruelling drive from the midlands in England (12 hours on the road) what we...

The first impression is olfactive -- yuck ! As one enters the room, one is met by a mouldy smell, exuded by the walls (see picture) and (as happens elsewhere) the shower curtain. Otherwise, the comfort is worthy of a French two-star hotel at a (very) reasonable price. Very little soundproofing, no limits on the volume of the TV sets....

I chose the Hotel St. Aubert because of its fantastic location and great price. The website map shows it to be right on the island, only steps from the abbey of Mont St. Michel. I couldn't believe the price for such a great location, but there is was, right on the Google map. Except it's not where there arrow points....

We had never been to Mont St. Michel, so we were unfamiliar with the lodging situation. We found this hotel as part of a website that you can book La Mere Poulard, etc., and it seemed reasonable, so we booked it. When we got there, we found that there are about 5 other hotels around it that had plenty of...

Having read the other reviews, I was a bit worried about spending the night in this hotel but it was ok. You can't really expect too much for about 40GBP, although I wouldn't have wanted to stay for more than one night. The reception was closed and the front door was locked when we arrived, so we had to go...

The toilet leaked. The paper holder kept falling apart. One lamp didn't work. The back door to the hotel wouldn't stay closed. No one is at the desk after 6 PM. The restaurant food was mediocre.

This hotel has nothing to do with the hotel shown on their own website. The reception is mostly closed. The back door is open all night. The inside of the building and the rooms looks like something bottomclass, East-Germany back in the 1980:ies. This hotel was the only one that was a big dissappointment on our 15-hotel tour. Stay away!...
