Arrived and was not overly impressed by the outside - but it was October so maybe with flowers etc might look a little prettier. Shown up to our room and was a little disappointed - a bit outdated, but with the usual hotel features, tea/coffee and lots of towels. The room was clean and warm, which was just what we... More

We stayed in an annxe due to having to take our dogs with us-but the owners are very relaxed about taking pets and that helped. the room was a little 1970's around the edges but the beds were very comfy and it was clean with good views. Our breakfast was just brilliant ,as was the personal service eg drinks when... More

The Castlemead is a small very well run family hotel at Manorbier South Pembrokeshire. The staff are all most helpful and friendly, The meals are excellent and the views from the restaurant superb. It is dog friendly with a separate well appointed annexe often used for guests with dogs. The location is heavenly, next to the castle and views down... More

This is truly a hidden gem - we were walking and came on it - great hosts and wonderful meals - fresh food and beautiful presentations. Greeted with a hot cup of tea and a biscuit - then had a nice room with great view of the hills and church - had a great sleep - quiet and restful -... More

Lets get the bad news out of the way first: The rooms and deco are very tired though the hotel itself is very clean. The restaurant whilst pretty good is a little old fashioned and fussy in it's service. Hidden in one of lesser visited part of Pembrokeshire this unpresumptuous hotel - more accurately a restaurant with rooms - has... More

Very small outdated room with no outlook. First impression on arrival was not feeling terribly welcome. Fousty smell in corridor and in our bedroom. Outdated very well worn sheets and blankets on bed with very grubby, damp eiderdown over the top! Breakfast was good although the wall where we were sat had very grubby light switches which made you wonder... More

....so said the bride and groom after their wedding in the Castle and reception in the Castlemead. It's position is superb and the panoramic windowed marquee on the lawn made the most of the views of the Church, gardens and the sea beyond. Lorna Greasley and her family actually made it for us. From the beginning the service, support, help,... More

First off, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, plus the location was lovely - right in the centre of Manorbier and a couple of hundred metres from the beach and castle. As others have already mentioned however, the accomodation itself was rather tired. Very clean but a bit tatty around the ages tbh - they are clearly going for... More

We ate in the restaurant on Saturday 7th May. The menu is small but everything on it is well thought out. Being vegetarian i had a choice of 2 starters and 2 mains - which is really unusual as normally its only 1 of each. I had Fresh fruit to start and then pumpkin ravioli which was absolutely delicious. My... More

I visited here recently with work. It is easy to find once through Tenby. We arrived late, around 9.30pm. The hotelier had been working in Tenby during the day. The heating had gone off at some stage during the day. It was turned on minutes before we arrived. West Wales is very cold in the winter. My room was very... More
