We stayed here on the way down to our holiday destination. The Imperator is centrally placed in Beziers and a good point from which to explore the city, its cathedral and the eateries, which are somewhat hidden, but worth looking for. The hotel is tired. We had rooms on the 3rd floor - as is our habit, we tend to... More

WE arrived by train & got a taxi to the hotel which was "up the hill"only because of our luggage, otherwise it is a lovely 15-20 minute walk. The hotel is lovely old world style, with comfy chesterfield lounges in the reception-bar area. Very helpful staff & centrally located. The rooms are average size, although the toilet was like a... On a cheapie Ryanair flight, we decided to stay in Beziers which honestly is a one-horse town, with about 30% of the shops closed and not really much going on. This hotel is old world, charming reception people, as centrally located as you could want and a balcony room overlooking the front was charming and quiet. Only French channels on... More

Our room was quite big with a very nice, large window overlooking the courtyard area. The room was clean although it was not cleaned every day of our stay (which I didn't mind but I don't think is standard). The location is very good for both the train and bus stations and the older part of town (cathedral etc...). The... More

We stayed here twice this year. In July as a family and August just as a couple. The hotel is on the main drag of bars/restaurants but it is quiet at the back (on to lots of jumbly rooftiles and ivy clad walls!) and the lovely high old style front windows are secondary glazed so with both window layes and... I stayed for 3 nights in July. The room was on the small-ish side but OK. It had a pretty old fashioned window overlooking the breakfast/garden area but the floor underneath the window was dirty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The room was dusty and again looked like it hadn't been cleaned recently. The bathroom... More

Stayed here one night. Had parked car in public underground car park, and then stumbled on this hotel in the main square. Booked in, friendly warm receptionist gave us directions to get out of the car park and round into the hotel car park - could have been tricky given the one way system but we found our way back... Stayed here having walked out of another hotel in same town - see review. Professional staff, very clean public areas. Our room , third floor overlooking town square, was very nice, good view of town centre. Room was clean, bed very comfortable, bathroom and toilet very clean. Despite being in the town centre the double glazing made the room very... More

We spent an enjoyable time at this hotel right at the heart of Beziers. It has a traditional feel to it, but our superior room was well equipped with a large double bed, flatscreen cable TV and wifi. The bar is pleasant enough, with a delightful courtyard. Breakfasts are basics and not really worth the €8 supplement. Staff are friendly... More

Unlike the chain hotels, Hotel Imperator oozes individuality and charm. It is a great chance to experience a true individual French experience rather than the usual bland chain product. The hotel is a grand period building situated on the main avenue in the town, with a large choice of cafes and restaurants literally on the doorstep. My partner and I... More
