“Nice location overlooking the river”

This is a characterful hotel overlooking the river in Compiegne. It's a little faded (shabby chic) but clean and has a nice atmosphere. We got lucky at the weekend with free parking just over the road but it might be an issue when it's busy. There was some noise from people chatting and beeping their horns on the Saturday night... “A stopover not worth stopping at!”

We stayed here for one night as a stopover during our recent trip. The room was large, but that is where the positives ended. The room looked in need of a major update - very tired indeed.
