Stayed for two nights in May. A lovely family run French hotel to stay in, good value for money, basic but clean rooms with recently refurbished bathrooms. We were in Joigny for a wedding, staying at the Paris Nice for four nights. The town itself - which is historic and attractive - needs but one day to explore on foot...with a great Saturday ( ..smaller Wednesday ..) market. But cycles can be rented from Locaboat ( dont arrive during French lunch hour 12.00-1.30) to explore the rolling... more

My wife and I stayed over 1 night after a lcoboat canal holiday. Small but clean and comfortable. David & Claire run Paris Nice. David is the chef...unfortunately did not meet him. This hotel is in Joigny, where we spent the night before embarking on a canal boat week on the Nivernais Canal. The hotel is very simple but clean and has a charming garden dining area.
