We were a group of Rotarians from Cornwall visiting Brittany for a weekend break. I had stayed in Roscoff before on more than one occasion and only considered the previous stays at hotels I cannot even remember the names of as a "bed for the night at a ferry port". This was different in that our experience was so good... More

I am retired and live in Devon and initially picked theTalabardon because it was convenient for the ferry, I have now been several times and never been disappointed. The accommodation is excellent as is the food, and the staff could not be friendlier. More

Hotel right next to church that rang bells on the quarter hour till ten and angelus at noon and six. Gave us a room facing onto the church and the front of the hotel both of which were lit up till 11 (approx). No entry ramp for lugging up rollies, had to pull up stairs. Desk personnel OK but a... We booked the hotel for a couple of nights. Prior to arriving we emailed best western four times to arrange an upgraded room and car parking. We didn't receive a single reply so were a little concerned about the quality of service. We hadn't got an upgraded room so were overlooking the church. We also didn't have parking but there... More

The reason we chose this hotel was because of the Volcanic ash incident and we were awaiting the ferry back to Cork.First off i went into the hotel and got their rates. Then i went on the net and got them cheaper. The hotel was full on our 2nd day and that might explain the room we were allocated:1st floor facing onto... We stayed here for 2 nights in late September at the end of a weeks holiday in Brittany. I would thoroughly recommend paying a bit extra for a sea view room - the view was amazing and we had a little private balcony with table and chairs. Nearly the whole sea facing wall was glass with blinds operated from the... More

After arriving on the early morning ferry we went to the hotel only to book in our cases. We were so pleased to be told we could have access to our room.It was just 8.00am.This was so helpful and was a great start to a lovely weekend in Roscoff. The hotel is very well situated and provides easy access to all... More

When we arrived early morning on the ferry Plymouth to Roscoff in the middle of April, we decided to book a night in a local hotel in Roscoff for our return ferry 2 weeks hence as it was an early morning sailing. We knew there was a Best Western and found it in the centre of the old town and... More

Nothing less can be said about this location. Great service, although low season. Inititally I didn't expect to find this level of service in a Best Western, so positively surprised. Great location, actually the sea hits the hotel wall, but still very quite rooms. Very good kitchen, all fresh food and well prepared. Friendly waiters and helpful in the choice... More

We stayed in Roscoff for one night when we found that we could not rent a car anywhere nearby on a Sunday (the only day the ferry from Cork, Ireland arrives). I feared Roscoff would be a dingy ferry port -- nothing could be further from the truth. The Talabardon, I must admit, was not my first choice -- but... More
