Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and spoke good English, the rooms were on the smaller side, which was fine, however they were clean and quiet for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was your typical European style spread in the morning. The hotel is in an excellent location right in the center of town, it is a short walk to... More

Was misled with what they told me about the breakfast, it's not free. Room was nice and bed very comfortable.

Good standard hotel with typical French 3* facilities. Positives Attitudes of staff - all excellent and all speak very good English. Good selection of restaurants within walking distance. Negatives No dedicated car parking - had to search for somewhere to park nearby Lorient itself is not particularly interesting - but surrounding South Breton is excellent

I've been on a week stay there as I had a professional training course at the Sub-marine Base - It's a minutes drive from the spot. My workmate had a car but the Hotel situated in TownCentre has no private Parking - So sometimes it was not easy to carpark. Well that could be the only negative point (if it... More

I think this is a good hotel for business meetings and for a cocktail drink. Other than that its average.

The Mercure hotel is very clean and a great value for the cost - 88Euros a night for single occupancy. The breakfast buffet in the mornings is Excellent. Complaints - The room keys are actual keys and you have to lock it from the outside everytime you leave. I am so used to card keys that this was a bit... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in July 2004. It is a fairly new business-style hotel with large comfortable rooms and clean, modern bathrooms. The breakfast buffet is served at one end of the spacious lobby, and has not only the usual continental fare (croissants, cold meat and cheese, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee), but also some hot...
