Lovely rooms, whirlpool bath, jet shower and lots of lovely toiletries. The pool was nice and there were some good seating areas outside. The staff were quite helpful, but I felt that the breakfast and drinks were really expensive. I would recommend getting breakfast in the town! Central Sarlat was only a short walk away. Not a lot of parking... more

What an amazing place - we loved it! From the moment we turned up early and were told we could check in everything was perfect. Met by a very friendly smiling receptionist we were shown to our room. We had booked one of the two prestige rooms with Terrace, there are two styles - contemporary or traditional. We had been... more

I have to say that we chose this hotel in Sarlat because we could not find anywhere else suitable in the areas in the nights in question. The Tripadvisor reviews were a bit ho-hum and we were a bit hesitant about booking. We need not have been. It was a perfect place to stay. We took the last rooms available... more

We stayed there for five nights. This charming small hotel is within walking distance of the old town with all its restaurants and sights. Sarlat is a truly magificently restored medieval town, however its restaurants serve foie gras and duck, duck and duck, to the exclusion of much else. The hotel is beautifully finished with first class attentive staff. We... more

My husband and just returned from a wonderful 10 day trip including Paris, Bordeaux, Saint Emilion and Sarlat. We are discriminating travelers and usually stay in 4 luxe to 5 star hotels. I had read some reviews of Clos La Boetie before booking and was a little wary but it appeared to be the nicest hotel in Sarlat so we... more

Management response from

We are very surprised by LRosen21 commentary because it doesn’t correspond at all to the reality of our hotel. Clos la Boëtie is an ancient family house from 19th century which was transformed into a 4* hotel. It is a small hotel with 11 rooms, decorated with refinement, and its small capacity gives it a familial atmosphere. Effectively, at Clos...

For the last two weeks, we have travelled through France staying at very nice hotels. I was pleasantly surprised at this hotel. The room was fantastic, clean, large and with all the amenities including an iron. The breakfast was the best we had on the trip. Make sure you order the yogurt as it was delicious along with everything else.... more

I mostly agree with the last reviewer, except that I do know the price of this place. LOL. It was very expensive for the town, and a bit far from the center. But a lovely, well-run place nonetheless. more

Stayed here for 3 nights during our Honeymoon. Whist I don't think it was particularly cheap (husband won't divulge costs) the service/ standard of room/location was excellent. We liked: Smart, stylish room Free Wi-fi Complimentary slippers/dressing gowns/chocolates on pillow Helpful (English speaking) reception staff The fact that it was a small, friendly hotel. Whirlpool bath Only negatives would be that... more

This is a true 4 star B&B but it will cost you. Ideal for a short pampered stay in a luxury room, all facilities are as mentioned by others here. Breakfast room is a little cramped but the breakfast choice is extensive. Despite being on a main road the thick walls and double glazing kept the airconditioned room remarkably quiet.... more

My husband and I stayed here earlier in the year. We chose Sarlat by accident and it is a delightful place. The B&B is very nice but there are better and cheaper places in the town itself. The B&B is a good 10 minute stroll away. We stayed in their best suite with our own private patio, but in reality... more
