This is a nice property well-located just outside the old town and easy walking distance, with good parking although we did not need need the hotel parking and just parked on the street. It is a 5 minute walk down the main road into town and there is a good restaurant on the corner and a self service laundromat opposite... More

This is such a little gem just outside the medieval city of Sarlat in the Dordogne region of France. The hotel is on the outskirts of the village, an easy walk into the village. We stayed here 7 nights, using the hotel as our base to venture out each day, exploring the region. Great location! We walked into the village... More

We stayed there in August 2012, and while the service, etc. (and possibly, the rating itself... is the "5 star" sign on the property old?) is not five star, it nonetheless seemed from our walking around Sarlat that La Boetie is one of the best there. The room was very nice (as was the terrace, though it did overlook the... More

We spent 4 nights in Sarlat. The hotel was a good location, only a 5 minute walk from town. Parking was free was up the hill from the hotel. I was surprised it had a 5 star rating. The reception was small, the room was small, the bathroom was wonderful however. The dining room was very nice for our Continental... More

Sarlat has a beautiful medieval city area with lots of charming hotels, restaurants, churches, pastry shops, etc. THIS HOTEL is blocks away from all that. Front desk clerk was a lazy woman with unfriendly attitude. The room was very nice with real antiques and nicely fitted bath (some loose floor tiles), but chock-crazy-full of furniture such that you could barely... More

The hotel is a very pleasant hotel with luxurious bathrooms and extra bathroom amenities. Very large rooms, bathrooms and free wi-fi. The Carpets and Room decors could use some renewing. I was very surprised by the condition of the carpets in this 5 star rated hotel.

We spent 3 nights here and were disappointed from stepping in to the foyer. Not 5 star furnishings or ambience in any way. The garden area looked very shabby, beds were turned on their side and the swimming pool was very small with a pull over cover. The receptionist was pleasant and arranged for our bags to be taken to... More

The hotel was recommended to us by Railbookers and we are so glad we took their advice. The hotel has 11 unique rooms named after chateaux in the area. We stayed in Hautefort one of their smaller, 'Charming' rooms; even so we had a king size bed, sitting area and well equipped bathroom with two washbasins, whirlpool bath and hydro-massage shower,... We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, from the beautiful bedroom, and the oh so very comfy luxurious bed, to the gardens where we enjoyed a chilled bubbly in the evening as the sun went down. The staff were wonderful, friendly and could not have done anymore to be of help. The location was handy with only... More

This is a nice property well-located just outside the old town and easy walking distance, with good parking even in high season and good ingress and egress for touring.
