My fiance and I stayed at Les Oliviers in May 2004 and fell in love with the place immediately. Everything is made from natural materials, which just blend into the surroundings. All the little ‘bungalows’ are made from stone and wood and are traditionally decorated and, although they are quite basic, there is everything you need. They all have their own terrace, stone barbeque and an outside shower (don't worry, there is an inside one as well!) and are built in a way so that they don’t overlook each other. The grounds are full of olive, cork and pine trees, with lots of pathways twisting this way and that, taking you through the colourful planting. It is such a peaceful setting you can't help but to relax and unwind.

Les Oliviers is situated about a 5 min drive from the beach at Palombaggia, and about 10 min drive from Porto Vecchio, although it is so lovely you may only want to venture out to the supermarket to buy fish for the barbeque! If you do manage to prise... more
