This property is in a stunning spot. It was immaculately presented and spotlessly clean. Patsy is a very thoughtful hostess - everything you could want is provided. (You need to bring a bottle if you want one - not licensed) The breakfasts are excellent and the evening meal (available on prior request) was well cooked and very tasty. It was... More

How wonderful to find such a lovely b&b in such a remote corner of Scotland. The views across the north coast and out to Orkney are just stunning, and Patsy is the perfect hostess - home baking, great cooking (the best bacon ever!!), a comfortable, clean and beautiful room. Patsy has a clear passion for making her guests feel at... More

Patsy McCaskill, is a delightful hostess and nothing is too much trouble for her. She makes everyone feel at home and always has time to spend with her guests. We stayed with her for the first time in May and are going back in September. We would thoroughly recommend Sharvedda B & B to anyone who is visting the North... More

Stayed here with my wife a week or so after we got married, on our Honeymoon tour of Scotland. Patsy, as everyone else says, is so friendly and welcoming. We were given a lovely room with en-suite, with a big comfy bed in a warm house. We were full to the rafters the night we arrived, and I think Patsy... More

My wife, mother in law and myself stayed here for 1 night. Patsy was out as we arrived early but her son showed us around and advised us where to eat. When we returned later in the evening Patsy was back and made us so welcome with tea/coffee and home made cakes. Patsy couldn't do enough for us and made... More

we only stayed one night here but wished we could have stayed longer. Lovely welcome with tea and cakes on arrival. Patsy was not there when we arrived but her son and a lady helping out looked after us very well. Patsy is a lovely lady who can't do enough for you. Our room was lovely and spotlessly clean. Good... Patsy is a fantastic hostess and gives you such a welcome, you feel as if you have known her for years. Firstly you are served tea, and home made cake, in the conservatory overlooking the most superb view. Then very good advice given for supper at the Strathy Inn, and then back in the glorious Scottish evening light (incredible), to... More

With some friends I am currently walking Scotlands coast and stayed in Sharvedda for two nights at the beginning of March. When I booked Patsy (mine host at Sharvedda )offered to help with transport arrangements to pick up and move our car without which our planned walks would have been almost impossible. The location ( a mile from nearest hotel... More
