Good sea view rooms, average back facing rooms, average hotel , take another hotel and possibly cheaper in the center as this one is not so close to where the action is

This is a lovely hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and speak English. The breakfast was good. The room was spacious and with unique decor (a good thing). It is located right by the beach and a 5 min walk to the central area of town. It was a good pick.

We wanted to rest in Tropea and chose this hotel after reading reviews. Extremely nice stuff: lady at the reception, people who serve breakfasts and nice cleaning ladies (rooms are cleaned twice a day!!!). We stayed for over 8 days. Initially we were met with a cold, rule driven, unfriendly staff. As if we were bothering them by staying at this very new hotel. Paying for clean beach towels was an unnecessary money grab. The breakfast was bountiful and great coffee. The staf finally warmed up after tempers flared from our group.

Hotel Rocca Della Sena was a wonderful find. This was a beautiful, very clean hotel, however the service was aggressive and the worst I have ever experienced. The breakfast spread is beautiful, but only available during the unpublished narrower breakfast time.
