Greeted with a glass of bubbles on arrival plus all the relevant information for the area, we found the husband and wife who run this small hotel are just delightful and extremely helpful. Locanda del Borgo was a delightful surprise. We knew little about Sestri and the hotel. The room was clean, light, nicely furnished and looked out onto the flourishing garden. The room was clean, pleasant, plenty of windows and sunlight (with retractable shutters), mosquito netting was a plus, shower was small (by US standards) but very functional, restroom spotless, the room even had a small TV (though why would anyone waste time in this beautiful town by watching TV?). Prompted by the poor review I've just read about this hotel I'd like to redress the balance a bit. We stayed there at the beginning of September and I can't praise highly enough the hotel and especially the young couple running it.
