The hotel is situated on a little hill overlooking the harbor, old town Sestri and it's two bays. The hotel rooms are in the old castle as well as in a new building. We had a room in the new building. It had all the amenities associated with a four star hotel (air conditioning, a big bathroom with bathtub etc.)... more

We had a great stay at this hotel, even though most of our time here was spent in Cinque Terre, it is easy to get to, and the staff was very accommodating, and even kept the restaurant open when we arrived later than we expected. more

LOVED it. Loved Sestri Levante, loved the staff, the grounds, the location... The Private Beach was 'meh' since it was a created beach and one can stroll down the hill and stick feet in sand in the most amazing environment for free, but it is great that it is there and would still recommend it for anyone looking for privacy.... more

We were so excited to stay in castle & we're very disappointed to find out we were staying in a wing that was built a few years ago to look somewhat like a castle. The private beach was a huge disappointment - it's man-made with retaining walls & closes at 7pm every night. Service was below average. I would not... more

the Grand Hotel dei Castelli was just that, It was grand, elegant with nicely appointed rooms. The grounds were absolutely outstanding as was the private beach. We loved Sestri Levante-a lovely seaside town. The people working at the hotel were very accommodating. We look forward to returning there in the near future. more

We stayed at the grand Hotel dei Castelli for 3 nights and very much enjoyed our stay – in fact we were rather sad to leave and would love to return some time. The rooms were quiet, comfortable, spacious and neutrally decorated with a large well equipped bathroom. My only criticism would be that the double bed was 2 singles... more

Wow, a magnificant genuine ancient castle on a hill top cliff surrounded by the sea. To look at, its amazing, its the genuine stay in a castle experience. That said, despite its prominent position above the town and surrounded on three sides by the sea, it is not built directly on the back of the cliff edge, but rather backs... more

Magnificent hotel. The only thing, is not present for some reason the bathrobes, even in suites. The restaurant is good, but in Vis a Vis it is perhaps better. But hotel outside of comparison in Sestri Levante. more
