Stayed here for 4 nights as a base for exploring Saluzzo and surrounds. A very good hotel for its rating. Nothing fancy, but a good bathroom with a decent sized shower (not always the case, even in larger hotels). Comfortable beds, though I found the pillows a little hard and flat. As others have noted, it's a very quiet location.... More

This is an artfully restored, cozy, relaxing farming estate that, supposedly, dates back to the beginning of the 16th century. The hotel is located in a partially converted farming complex at the edge of Saluzzo. The gees in the central courtyard and horses in the stable serve as a refreshing backdrop. The quadrangular structure contains also an Agriturismo business that... More

Thank you for taking time to write about our hotel and also for the positive judgement. The Hotel in the 16th century was the country estate of the Prior to a Cistercian Abbey located on Monbracco and was also a refuge for any travellers who were locked out of Saluzzo (in those days the town's gates were closed at night).... We absolutely loved our one night stay at this lovely, quiet hotel in the countryside just outside Saluzzo. We loved the peace and being surrounded by fields. We loved that the building is a working farm with geese grazing on the lawn. The hotel is warm and welcoming yet laid back. It is elegant, tasteful and understated with very friendly... More

We loved staying at this beautifully renovated hotel located just outside Saluzzo on the grounds of a former farm inherited by the Italian half of the owners. Everything is thoroughly modern and updated yet retains the flavor of a farm with a grassy courtyard surrounded by some of the original buildings, two geese who stroll around and farm equipment. It... More

Thank you for such lovely comments which are greatly appreciated by all the staff and both my husband and myself (the English half). I'm also pleased it was a good start to your Piedmont tour and I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip and you have discovered the beauty of my adopted corner of Italy. More

As others have pointed out, this is an unusual hotel, in that it is situated in a large rectangular farm complex just outside of town. Inside, however, everything is refined and quiet; the rooms are spacious and clean, come with air-conditioning and wi-fi, and open onto a pleasant, grassy courtyard. Unfortunately, I showed up for breakfast just as a large... More

we are pleased that you enjoyed our structure and we hope next time you will come there won't be any tour-bus in front of the breakfast room! ;) for what concerns the distance from the city centre, it's two minutes by car and ten-fifteen minutes walking (less than 1 km) but as you said, once you get in the Old... The accomodations were lovely. The rooms were large, clean and well decorated. Peaceful place and incredible breakfast - plentiful and delicious. Wi-fi is promised in fine print to be accessible in the hallway (as opposed to the rooms) and my husband was told to lean out the window. His room did have a "funky" smell compared to our rooms near... More

Thank you for taking time to write a review of our hotel and I'm sorry that your husband had a few problems. Regarding WIFI I must say that generally in Italy the internet sistem is not the best in the world and we have an added problem due to the walls which are more than 50cm thick. Also probably to... This is an hotel, agriturismo and working farm, so expect to hear the geese and the horse from time to time! Had a wonderful stay, and great service. We had to leave early in the morning so they set breakfast out for us. The food was amazing, and it was such a quiet and warm atmosphere. So glad we went to visit my italian roots home town. Definitely going back to stay again!

This was the second time in two years that I have stayed at this hotel - of course choosing to stay a second time because the first experience was good. We stayed four nights as part of a tour group and were very impressed. The hotel is also a working farm and all rooms face on to a grassed courtyard - the daytime home of a gander and his geese, shepherded by a lovely german shepherd. Thank you for taking time to write about our hotel as we always find great pleasure in reading them. Unfortunately the gander passed away earlier this year and now we only have the 2 widowed geese roaming the courtyard always under the ever watchful eye of Cuciolo (the yard dog). More
