We (party of 4) stayed 7 nights at Hotel Royal and give it ten out of ten. Perfect location close to beach, shops, bars, restaurants etc. Perfect food & service. Perfect mountain views from the balcony of our rooms. What more can we say ? 'Asta la vista'... We'll be back!

Just got back from 7 nights at Hotel Royal. Can't fault it. Great position in the town. Close to shops, cafes, bars. Most important just metres from the beach. Location was good being close to the lake and within easy walking of shops and restaurants.Room was okay and more like a suite.Pool area was good.The food was pretty grim.We were expecting authentic Italian but got poorly presented basic English fare,and not very appetising.Breakfasts were however very good,if a bit crowded around the self-service. Pleasantly surprised with this hotel after reading some of the reviews.Good location only 5 minutes from Lake Garda.The hotel was comfortable,quiet and relaxing. The air conditioning was working well . The food was good with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English well. We would definately visit this hotel again.

Booked holoiday with Travel sphere who are a reputable travel company. Should have checked with Tripadviser before booking where there are many negative reports but in view of reputation of travel company we did not bother. I went on a Leger tour to this hotel recently. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel room was quite basic and had very little space. There was too little choice of evening meal, and I was forced to eat outside the hotel on one occasion. On one evening there were three fish courses, and very little alternative choice.... More

I don't understand the bad reviews. Room wasn't huge, but it was big enough. Wardrobe, chair, bed, desk and safe. Really liked the balcony with mountain views.
