This is one of those hidden gems your friends tell you about, or you see on TV, but you never seem to find ... well look no further. The pictures are a true reflection of the views and are just breathtaking. I think all the rooms have a sea view, we had a balcony and could lie in bed looking... More

We spent our last two nights here after spending 3 night in Sorrento and then two night in Amalfi. Stunning location up the mountain passed Montepertuso, didn't know when we booked this that we had two top restaurants on our doorstep as well which was a bonus. Future guests should be aware that Colle Dell'Ara is not on the roadside... More

What a wonderful time we had in Colle dell'ara ! The place is so great. The view is amazing. We did not meet Giacomo (he is studying in Milano) but Marco and Pascual. The brothers are so welcoming and attentive, trying to please you, and make you feel confortable. They are always available when you need them. They are preparing... More

We spent five nights here recently, and it is unlike anywhere we have ever stayed before. Your luggage goes up on a cable lift while you scramble about 200m up a vertiginous hillside to reach the house with a breathtaking view out over Positano and the sea. Don't be deterred by the climb: we are both in our seventies and... More

Looking back on the four nights my wife and I spent at Colle dell'Ara in late September I simply can't imagine a better way to experience the beauty of the Amalfi Coast. In contrast to the five star hotels we stayed at during our time in Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice), this BnB really made us feel as though we were... More

We found the family that runs Colle dell'Ara to be one of the most welcoming hosts anywhere in Italy, and the food they provide, all sourced form their own gardens, is absolutely charming and delicious. We drove here which was a good thing as it looked like public transport was quite a mission. There was easy parking only 100m from... More

The view is excellent, the room was nice and clean, and the dinner they made for us from their garden was our favorite of the entire trip (and we also went to Rome, Florence, and Venice). They have gardens all around the B&B and they make their own lemoncello. They also have access to a trail that goes all the... More

This BnB is the perfect place to unwind. It is a beautiful house and I had such lovely hosts (Pasquale and family) for my stay. I stayed here for 3 nights and would have been happy to just stay on the terrace. Positano and surrounds has lots to offer and although this house is a little further up the mountain... More

After six nights at Colle Dell'ara, we didn't want to say goodbye. It was the perfect hilltop haven for our time on the Amalfi Coast. You can't beat the views from the terrace or your balcony, looking out at the steep hillside over the town of Positano and the sea. The rooms are spotless, simple but tasteful, bathrooms large for... We arrived at Colle dell'Ara as part of our honeymoon and had the BEST TIME! Although a bit far from Positano itself, we really enjoyed its location thanks to the quiet, peaceful ambience and the magnificent views! Upon arrival (and a short, beautiful hike up to the property), we were welcomed by Giacomo, one of the brothers running the b&b,... More
