This hotel is a real treat. It is a beautiful old monastry set in gorgeous grounds and the service will probably not be beaten in Orvieto (or even in central Italy). What a beautiful location! What a breathtaking property....so quiet, so peaceful. Provided us with a break after a hectic week of travel. We had a large room overlooking the center court yard which was very comfortable. The staff was most accommodating, and although pricey, the restaurant superb. The villa/hotel dates from 1100. The site is beautiful. The staff was most helpful. The ancient architectual features were enchanting---almost unbelievable. Nice pool. Great view of Orvieto!! More
