Montecatini Terme has presumably outlived the role of holiday spa town (Although the surviving spas seem to still have plenty of custom for alternative therapies), and is now a town where tourists go to bed down when they see Tuscany. I understand that there are about 240 hotels, and seemingly no churches. Many of these hotels deal with parties of... More

We have just returned from Montecatini, staying at the Hotel Da Vinci. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bar/reception area downstairs is immaculate and we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The Hotel is also perfectly situated near the main shopping area, and near the train station (for access to Lucca, Pisa, etc) - the... More

We were told there are 240 hotels in Montecatini, so how this one got to #4 I'm not sure. The lobby, reception, dining, etc are very clean and as nice looking as the pictures. When we were there (third week of March) they were also so cold as to be almost unusable. Which would keep them very clean. There must... More

The Hotel Da Vinci was very clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was beautiful, after walking throughout Montecatini I found the hotel was located near shopping, trains, and attractions. Florence, Lucca, Pisa and other locations are easily accessible from Montecatini. More

A great friendly family run hotel We used this as a base for touring around Tuscany. It is in close proximity to all the usual places. Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Via Chianti, Sienna and the many small medievil towns and villages in the area. While quite old, the rooms are spotless as are the bathrooms and ours was spacious. (corner room... More

Stayed here on a visit to the thermal waters. Pulled into town and had a little issue finding street names...no problem because there was excellent signage directly to the hotel. Spacious rooms, great location hand friendly staff. About a 10 min stroll up to the Spa's and 10-15 minutes to the heart of the city where families are out for... More

Got transferred to Hotel Da Vinci after Hotel Boston's a/c stopped working. Staff incredibly helpful. Room was amazing and well sized. Decor was modern thru out. Wifi worked well in bar and restaurant but not in rooms. A/C nice but switched off at about 12am and did not switch on till 6am, making sleep uncomfortable in the Tuscan heat. Shower... More

Dear Mr. Cooper, first of all let me thank you for your positive feedback and your understanding over the problems we’ve had with Hotel Boston’s air conditioning which, by the way, got totally fixed with a brand new engine. I will forward your kind words to our staff and would be pleased to welcome you again, in either one of... More

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel Da Vinci. The personnel was very kind and the room was nice and clean. Unfortunately, we forgot our Ipod. After a very long saga involving a dishonest post office employee, we got it back, thanks to Cesare, the hotel's concierge. Without him, we would never have gotten it back. More

Visiting Tuscany for a 5 day 4 night City break. 18-22nd June 2011. Booked a four night stay Hotel Da Vinci and couldn't believe the rates offered 49 euros for double room plus breakfast. We emailed the hotel directly and asked for a spacious and quiet room and that is exactly what we got. We had a comfortable king sized... More
