One night early September stopover before heading up to the Rifugio. Will be bustling in the ski season but v. quiet when I stayed. On the approach to Madonna di Campiglio but not within walking distance. Thats either a plus or a minus depending what you are looking for. Ski resorts out of season can be grim and be prepared to pay to park in Madonna even out of season.
On balance for a short stay I'll go for the outskirts and the great view from the terrace at this hotel even though it's showing it's age a little. more
