Unfortunately in Lignano there is no structure checking the hotel rating, therefore once you get your 4 stars you keep them forever. Hotel Meridianus is an example of that, with its 4 mid seventies stars that never changed until today, including the hotel itself of course. So when you get there just be prepared to jump back to the days...
