the name Abruzzo kept popping up in the last few months , so after seeing the region on a documentary on tv, we said lets give it a go. flights worked out real cheap from UK to Pescara, so we choose a little village in the hills called Navelli to find the real heart of Italy. we booked a quaint... Me and Roberta, had been planning a trip to Europe for a long time as she has roots in Abruzzo. Friends of ours had been telling us of their stay in Navelli so decided we had to stay there. Navelli itself is a beautiful old Medieval village full of narrow little streets full of archways and arched doorways. We were... More

Francesca and Jimmy are gracious host that welcome you and give you amazing tips on visiting the region. They care about your experience... Ensuring everything you need is addressed. The restaraunts they recommended to the sights were great... And their b&b is lovely. Navelli is such a sweet town. They even went out of their way to make sure my... More

Jimmy and Francesca, the owners of Abruzzo-Segreto were born to be in the hospitality business. They are two of the friendliest and most helpful people you will ever meet. Jimmy is from Ireland and has that Irish twinkle in his eye. He will cook eggs for your breakfast, truly a rarity in an Italian B&B. Francesca always has a smile... More

The warmth and gentleness of our reception upon our arrival to this AMAZING location in NAVELLI, is second only to the feelings one has when he arrives HOME from a voyage. The room was perfect, and so was the living room where we were served a stupenduous breakfast in the morning. Navelli and this part of the Aquila area of... More

I travelled with a friend who has bought a property in Navelli and who has stayed with Jimmy and Francesca before. I was made to feel so welcome. It goes without saying that Abruzzo Segreto has everything you hope for - a warm welcome, comfy beds, nice bathrooms, excellent breakfasts but, it is SO much more! Francesca is a local... More

We spent 5 nights at the Abruzzo Segreto B&B in a lovely little village called Navelli and had a great time. Jimmy and Francesca are great hosts, with a ton of knowledge and information that they share with their guests with pride. The surroundings are spectacular, Navelli is so clean, safe, truely "old Italy" we had such a wonderful time.... More

this region of Abruzzo has so much to explore from ancient roman ruins, caves, major cities, engaging hilltop towns to mountains and the renowned Campo Imperatore - all this is possible from this gem of a B&B nested at the base of Navelli - Jimmy and Francesca are great hosts - the feel is extremely personal and I felt very... Magical is the best word I can find for Navelli and for the Segreto B&B . Navelli is the home town of my Boyfriends Pappa that is what brought us to this little town in Abruzzo. By far the favorite part of our wonderful trip to Italy for both of us. Segreto B&B is FABULOUS!!! Francesca (beautiful lady inside and... More
