.Just returned and after reading reviews was not looking forward to it. Pleasantly surprised , excellent value for money in this family run hotel. Room small but clean, bedding and towels clean. Breakfast adequate but called at fruit shop next door for tomatoes, fruit to "top up".. Excellent location for bus stop and Garda. Loved balcony which overlooked garden. Able... More

We stayed for a week in late August. The location is great, strolling distance from the Lake but on a quiet street. Had a nice adequately sized room with a balcony - but do request a side room maybe. Breakfast was simple but hey, this is Italy, not America, and reasonable for a 3 star establishment. Fresh Orange Juice &... More

Firstly Garda is a wonderful place very beautiful full of lots of lovely bars and restaurants and the scenery is fantastic. However!!!! This hotel is a bit of a joke, yes we didn't expect the ritz but this was something worse than a British B&B which I wouldn;t touch with a barge pole. Why does Thomson still have hotels like this-probably... More

when we arrived we discovered an ashtray full of cig butts on the balcony of our room.the towels were more like floor cloths, old worn and frayed.the door to the balcony had a cracked pain of glass.we didnt mind a no frills hotel but we were shocked to find so many health and safety issues.there was no shower curtain in the... No it's not the most modern hotel and it doesn't have a swimming pool, cutting edge gym etc etc but to focus on that would be entirely missing the point . It is a quaint, quirky place full of old style charm and run by endearing and ever helpful staff. Think Fawlty Towers without Basil ! Our room was cleaned... More

We have stayed here two yrs running and found it really good, people are saying the breakfast was very basic, since this is a 'continental breakfast' what is usually expected was there; fruit juices, fresh bread, jams, cheese, meats and the ever so often quoted boiled eggs. These were complemented with tea and coffee and the hotel staff, although old... More

Right-good news first. It was clean & it was handy for town & lake. Now,that's where it ends as far as I am concerned. Like the other reviewers, we booked last minute(funny that)& also like the others, we,& all who arrived with us, were allocated front rooms (also funny that) Query? could this be a hard -to -let place? Brochure... More

I booked this as a last minute holiday and was told there were only triple rooms left and frankly if it was a triple I had, I wouldn't like to see the smaller rooms as it was very compact. The hotel is clean and only minutes from the lakeside - however, if your room is at the front of the... More

We went to Garda in June 2006. The Miravelli hotel is well situated about 400 metres from the lake. The hotel rooms are reasonable but I suggest you try for the ones at the side of the hotel as although the hotel is on only a minor road there is some noise from a bar about 30 metres up the... More
